HOSTEL RULES : For Students

1. You are expected to maintain full discipline, abide rules/regulation of the Hostel, to devote your full time towards studies and attend all classes in your college regularly. 
2. Your room reflects your personality, by keeping it clean, quiet, safe, you will be creating the right atmosphere to study, work, rest and relax. Do not disfigure/spil the walls, doors etc. by putting posters/writing with marker pens, paints etc. which may lead to deduction from caution money for cleaning the same. 
3. Staff will be around in the morning and afternoon to sweep your rooms, ensure that they work properly. 
4. All breakages should be reported to the Hostel Superintendent immediately in writing. If the responsibility is solely yours. You will be asked to compensate for it. 
5. Keep your valuables like Mobile, laptops, purse, watch, ATM card, Books etc in locked cup-boards. Always Lock the doors from inside or lock it from outside when you are not in the room. Take care of your belongings, hostel authority will be no way responsible for loss of any items due to your negligence. 
6. You should see that your room mates and hostel mates do not get disturbed by any of your activities. If you have a music system / computer keep its volume as low as possible or use head phones. 
7. During the Puja and Christmas holidays, you may retain your rooms. During Summer vacation, you need explicit permission from the Hostel Superintendent to stay on. 
8. When leaving the institute for a longer period of time, such as Puja, Christmas and summer holidays, keep your things locked and handover the room keys to the Hostel Superintendent. 
9. Do not complain for voltage/power cuts/low voltage and related problems as. 
10. Please. don’t waste water. Use as less water as possible particularly during summer seasons. 
11. Any electrical/PHD or maintenance related problem should be written in maintenance register immediately.
12. In case of hike in electricity tariff/other tax imposed by Government may be charged accordingly. 
13. Payment of hostel fees, mess fees and other fees if any should be made in time. The rent payment is for one year. No partial staying is allowed and no refund shall be given to students leaving hostel in mid sessions. 
14. Strict Prohibition :
    • a. Drugs/Alcohol/Gutka/Pan/Smoking or any kind of addiction inside/ outside the Hostel.
    • b. Parents, Friends, Cousins/uncles etc. enter/stay in your room.
    • c. Any form of Ragging by anybody.
    • d. Midnight Birthday Parties without permission
    • e. Use of cookers, heaters, irons or electrical appliances in the hostel.
    • f. Any form of indiscipline or illegal work or ragging.
    • g. Damaging any article of the hostel on purpose
    Strict action will be taken against students involved in any of the above activities and may be expelled from the hostel immediately without any warning and student will have no claim for refund of any money.
15. Parents & local guardians can only visit your room between 5pm to 7 pm with prior written permission. 
16. The TV hours will be from 8 P.M. to 10.30 P.M except special/ match days. 
17. To get back your caution money you should handover your room and all articles in the room in good condition along with Hostel leaving Aapplication.
18.  No boarder is allowed to change his seat or room or replace any material of the Hostel Superintendent.
19.  Feel free to discuss any problem in the hostel/college. Report any kind of ragging without fear immediately. 
20.  In case of any physical injury or medical problem report immediately so that proper care can be taken. 
21. Hostel Gates & door to terrace will be closed at 10 pm in winter and at 10.30 pm in summer. 
22. No students are allowed to enter other student’s room after 11.00 pm. If you want to study in a group you can use the common area / Dining space. 
23. Any breakages found in the common area like toilet, TV Room, dining hall etc where no body takes responsibility for such breakages, the brakeage amount shall be divided equally with all students. 
24. Students are requested to cooperate with the staff and behave them properly. 
25. Students should give details of Two wheelers used by them and kept in the hostel. 
26. As per direction of the commissionerate of Police it is mandatory for the students to always carry an identity card issued by the Hostel authority and write in and out register for the hostel. 
27. For proper discipline of hostel above rules may be amended, rules may be framed as & when required.
